NICE*DAY #6: THE GIFT OF FLIGHT

Have a Nice Day Foundation just granted our coolest Nice*Day wish yet - the gift of flight!  Our latest Nice*Day family was referred to us by our first Nice*Day recipient - THANK YOU Natasha R. for being a great cheerleader for the Have a Nice Day Foundation!

​While the family is from Brainerd, the dad has been traveling to the Twin Cities on a regular basis for treatment at the University of Minnesota.  After our initial family phone call, we learned that the dad had previously trained for his private pilot's license and would love to take his family up in the air.  What a fun adventure that we couldn't wait to make happen!

The family was able to go up for flights around the Twin Cities at Thunderbird Aviation at Eden Prairie's Flying Cloud Airport.  Some of the fun sights they flew near were the U.S. Bank Stadium, Como Zoo, Lake Minnetonka and Paisley Park.  In addition, the dad was able to a touch and go at Crystal Airport, where he had previously flown. 

A huge thank you to Michael at Southern Touch Photography.  He volunteered to drive up from Rochester to document the day by taking wonderful photos. In addition, he is a pilot so it was fun to listen to him engage in "prop talk" with everyone!

Also, thank you to the wonderful pilot at Thunderbird Aviation, Matt, and the great crew who gave the children some fun swag before they left.

Finally, it was off to the Radisson Bloomington and Waterpark of America for a super fun overnight and an opportunity for the family to relax and make more memories.

​It was wonderful spending the day with you, you are in our thoughts and prayers always.
