Have a Nice Day Foundation was THRILLED to grant Nice Day #14: Have a Nice Badger Game*Day to a family for Notre Dame's Shamrock Series game at Lambeau Field on September 6th. This game at the iconic Lambeau Field was awarded to a University of Wisconsin employee and their family, all lifelong University of Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packer fans. |

Before Nice*Day #14 - TIME TO GET EXCITED!

Nice*Days are designed to have something positive to look forward to, and a key part of that experience is getting the family excited for what is to come. Have a Nice Day Foundation shipped a box with Game*Day items, including the full weekend agenda, gas gift cards for gas for the trip, door dash gift cards, footballs, face stickers, stuffed animals, Badger and Packer themed games for the family to enjoy together and matching jerseys for the entire family. The Green Bay Packers also sent a care package full of Packer gear - THANK YOU PACKERS! |
The Night Before
Have a Nice Day Foundation arranged for the family to stay in a hotel within walking distance to Lambeau Field for two nights. Our volunteers decorated the room, stocked it with favorite foods and treats and even included a few items from the family's favorite baseball team, the Savannah Bananas, including a baseball autographed by Savannah Bananas and Coconuts players.

The night before the game the family was able to wander around Lambeau Field and the stadium area, taking photos, interacting with other Badger fans and getting excited for the game.

Pre-Game
After hearing that it was a dream of the mom for her son to step foot on Lambeau Field, the Have a Nice Day volunteers worked relentlessly to make that happen. THANK YOU to the University of Wisconsin Athletics Department for helping us to grant that wish! The family was able to be on the field during the University of Wisconsin warm-ups, meeting Badger football legends and cheerleaders, receive a coin from a game referee, met the Badger Women's Hockey Olympians and took in all the action on the field.

HANDF scored amazing seats for the family to see the game up nice and close in the end zone, hoping for an eventual Lambeau Leap. Unfortunately that did not happen, but the family had a wonderful time cheering on the Badgers, doing Jump Around and interacting with other fans.
MORE FUN THE DAY AFTER THE GAME!
Thank you to the Green Bay Packers for providing tickets to the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame, a wonderful experience for this family of lifelong Packer fans. Have a Nice Day Foundation gave the family tickets for the Legendary Lambeau Field Tour and the family was able to see all over the stadium, including the locker rooms and press box.
